I wasn’t about to make the same mistake with E H Booths, as it was another 15 miles drive away! So I called the store, something I should have done in the first place! I spoke to the head of beers and wines. His name was Phillip and he was very helpful. At first he said that he hadn’t heard of the beer but promised to check with his head office. I called back 30 minutes later and Phillip had some good news, they had just started to stock the beer and would have some in the next day! I was so happy!
So today I drove to the nearest branch of Booths in Clitheroe. I walked into store and headed straight to the booze section. And in the corner trying to hide away from me were lots of bottles of my favourite beer! I had to buy the lot, 18 bottles! I think the checkout man thought I was an alcoholic, buying 18 bottles of beer at 9 o’clock in the morning!
So here I am having a beer very early in the morning, I don’t care, it tastes soooo good!

I, too, enjoy Samuel Adams beers, and was fortunate to find the odd bottles in the UK, I haven't found any in Cyprus yet though. I used to work for Booths in Ansdell, one of their smaller stores, and the range of wine, spirits, beers and ciders was at least as good, if not better, than the Supermarket giants.
Thank you for the comments. I am surprised that one of America’s favourite beers is one of the U.Ks least heard of ones. According to Phillip at Booths the last batch they ordered sold out very quickly, so maybe the words out about this award winning beer. Good luck finding Samuel Adam’s beers in Cyprus!
@ Martha (AKA anonymous). The beer wasn’t the only reason for my trips to the states, but it won’t stop me drinking a few when I am there.
I too like Samuel Adams lager but Sainsburys no longer sell it and I'm not aware of any Booths in my area. Have you found an alternate source? I did e-mail Shepherd Neame but they didn't reply. I found that BeerRitz sell it but it's very expensive from them.
